The Pflugerville Parks Foundation is dedicated to actively advancing our mission to promote, protect, and enhance the parks system of the City of Pflugerville through strategic initiatives in education, resource development, and community partnerships. Established in 2023 by concerned citizens committed to expanding green spaces and preserving natural areas throughout Pflugerville, our foundation is driven by a vision of creating a more sustainable and vibrant community for all.
Key Initiatives
- Green Spaces Advocacy: We advocate for the development and expansion of green spaces within Pflugerville, ensuring that residents have access to recreational areas and natural environments that enhance their quality of life. We are also committed to ensuring that these green spaces are equitably accessible to everyone, making them welcoming and inclusive for all community members.
- Accessible Parks Enhancement: We strive to make local parks accessible to all members of the community, with a particular focus on those with disabilities and non-English speakers. Upcoming Project
Our inaugural project set to start at the end of 2024 will focus on spreading native seeds and planting saplings in undeveloped park land to jumpstart natural forest development. Dates to come soon!
